Idjaz-C, the mother of Sapphire, was born in 1985 at Merelsnest Stud. She was our first filly out of the Hannovarian mare Chiquita, but she had already a brother jumping Gp's under Ferdi Titeca. At two-year-old she caught and injury, that made it impossible for her to go into the sport. The results in breeding were phenomenal. Four of her children jumped GP (Lapino, Sapphire, Quarco and Wendelina). Furthermore she's given birth to the BWP approved stallion Vincenzo and the 1.45m-jumpers Nearco, Maureen, Ovidius, Artemis and Baldato. In 2004, the year that she died, Idjaz was named "BWP Mare of the year".
